Please be aware that wood is a natural substance that has a great deal of variation. Wood color and grain varies from piece to piece, making every utensil a beautiful, one of a kind work of art. So when you order a product, the shape would be this, however the grain pattern would be a natural one which artist works with to give the best look to the object.

All products are treated with food-safe natural oil.

Each item will need re-treating over time with a food-safe wood wax or oil to keep them looking their best.  It is best to avoid using olive oil as it can go rancid.  Walnut oil, Flaxseed, coconut oil, mustard oil and linseed oil are all good to use and are readily available.

Never put wooden goods in the dishwasher or leave soaking in water.

Wipe clean with a damp soapy cloth. If prolonged contact with water occurs the edges may go a little fuzzy when it is dry. Using a fine grit sandpaper lightly sand down until smooth and keep well moisturized with a wood oil or wax.

This board is handcrafted by PS Anand & Team. Do read what he has to say about his art

One of the most precious things that I learned from Kapur uncle is that one must have a hobby. And he was the one who taught me how to build radio controlled airplanes from the balsa wood kits that we use to import. I am talking about the times when the idiot boxes were as boxy as bread boxes.

I was taught the importance of working with your own hands on the model kits as compared to the ready to fly models. Uncle said that when you build something from the scratch you get to understand the design better and you can always modify, recreate and repair better than the guys who will buy it off the shelf and fly. I used to spend days and hours understanding the blueprints and then cutting, sanding, gluing and assembling the kits in a workshop at his home.

A year and a half back when i was knocked down by some health issues, depression started to make its grip as I was devoid of any kind of outdoor activity and I hate staying indoors. It was Amrita Chatwal who suggested me to try a different form of woodworking by requesting for a pet cage for the parrot she had. She wanted a tree house kind of look and I had no Idea to go about it. With the help of my maali I collected some wood from there fallen trees and started working on the design. Meeting the disprovals and the moments of “Amiss” Amrita and me finally reached the stage where we both liked what we were building.

This was the time when the woodworking changed its form and I found a new passion for working with raw wood. The whole process of buying wood to reaching till the final product is quite an antidepressant to me. Soon after that pet cage I hooked onto internet and started looking for various DIY’s I could keep myself busy with and then the serving platters and these chopping boards happened.

This was also the time when I was learning the nuances of food photography and was closely following Deeba Rajpal (I Still never miss a post from her) as a gesture towards an awesome mentor, I decided to gift her a handcrafted Teakwood board and it was appreciated a lot by her when she used it for styling in one of her shoots. And a lot of people started asking for them. And in must say that its only because of these beautiful, humble and star souls that I got into making these platters & chopping boards.

For quite a time I have been crafting the batches and sometimes I do custom work as well and have been successful in selling them throughout the country. No length of words can describe my love and gratitude for the people I mentioned. May they be blessed for all the love that I have received from them.

Thank you.
