Description
When I say bombs, I mean it, because a jar of Ambi Mirchi Bombs is packed with spicy and flavourful bharwan aam mirch pickle and with every bite of it you can taste the spurt of a flavour bomb. We Indians love mango and chilli pickles, but Ambi Mirchi Bombs is a unique way of savouring your preferred flavours in a pickle.
Though a very traditional Indian pickle recipe, not many are aware of the procedure and ingredients that go in bharwan aam mirch pickle. When a well-processed bunch of super spicy Bhavnagri green whole chillies get filled with tangy and spicy raw Ram Kela mango and pickled with mustard oil, it creates this aromatic achar, the flavour of which is hard to forget.
This summer, I hoarded some fiery Bhavnagri green whole chillies right from Gujarat and thought of putting it to the right use. So after cleaning and drying it properly, I deseeded them to keep the level of heat comfortable. Next, instead of mixing it normally with raw chopped mangoes, I grated some fresh raw Ram Kela mango, mixed it with some handpicked, sundried, roasted and home blend spices, and stuffed the whole chillies with the mango mixture. The concoction of spices with mustard oil and tangy mango oozes out a sharp and peppery flavour, turning every nibble of your meal into a flavour bomb.
As you bite through the hot and fleshy layer of the chilli, your taste buds will get stunned with the pungent grated raw mango mixed with spices with a very distinctive essence, adding on the goodness of raw mango. Combine Ambi Mirchi Bombs with rice, chapatti, parantha, mathri, and any savoury meal and upgrade your pickle game for a more relishing platter.

Loved this, but a little expensive

I’d just seen the post on this mirch bomb pickle and lucky enough to be instantly gifted a jar of it. Being a hard-core chilli eater, I actually had early dinner, just to have the pickle! I was very intrigued by the idea of having a stuffed chilli pickle, which was actually stuffed with another type of pickle! How do you resist the deadly combo of sour, spicy and tingly? It’s a definite bomb of amazing flavour, leading me to use a spoonful of the masala on my toast for breakfast 😂. A definite must try. Love it ❤️

OMG! What a combination, why did no one ever thought about this before. One of the most unique Mango or Chilli pickles you will find in India or anywhere. Thanks MM for bringing this out.

They really need to work on the packaging, got the pickle with all oil leaked. Made me so angry.
But then the worse part – how slow their customer service is. Thankfully that is where the bad ended. They were more than happy to ship me a fresh jar or Mirchi Bombs and salvaged the situation.
As good as the product is – they have their own troubles and you must be aware of the same while ordering.

I ordered it and I loved it. One of the best things I’ve tasted. Hats off to the maker, you know the weak points of our soul. I pray and wish all of you in the Masala Monk family is safe amongst your near and dear ones. But to be honest ‘oh boy!!’ I’m so glad you’ll are back in business and delivering soul food. Thanks for being in our lives.

Excellent tasting pickles, except almost all the bottles I ordered came with the oil leaking through. Need to up the packaging a bit.

Well these bombs exploded before delivery itself and the oil which was supposed to be inside the jar, was all dripping off.
Though it was because of mishandling during the transit.
*Just a suggestion… While packing the jars, just place a sticker of “this face up” or with an “upright arrow” on the carton so that the oil remains inside.*
