As you may have already seen, I do a lot of cooking with seasonal produce, and how I love it. The love for seasonal produce is immense and I make the most of it. So thought of sharing another seasonal product, Galgal-Adrak-Mirchi Achar, with like-minded people.
This pickle is made using seasonal hill lemon (called Galgal in Hindi), ginger, green chilies, handpicked spices, and a minimal amount of cold-pressed mustard oil. The sourness and slight bitterness of galgal go really well with the sharpness and spiciness of ginger and green chilies. This combination makes a perfect match in gastronomical heaven.
I am very proud of my heritage, which by extension, also defines my food preferences. I love creating recipes that are clean, soul-nourishing, and not to mention are linked to my roots. For winters, this is a must-have pickle in Punjabi households. Each and every family has their own way to pickle these gorgeous winter citrus, I am sharing exactly how we do it at our home.
Note: This pickle will be available for a very limited time, so hurry up, order more than one jar to stock up and thank me later.Sourness and slight bitterness of Galgal mixed with sharpness and spiciness of ginger and green chilies
