Out of my fond childhood memories, one such special is certainly being introduced to the Peda from Rajasthan our hometown. Whenever anyone was visiting our hometown Churu in Rajasthan, this sweet was a must bring back. The taste of this Peda is pure luxury to the palate, it’s very difficult to express until you have tried one.
It has a rich creamy texture that envelopes the senses wanting for more. It has a prominent caramelised milk taste with a flavour of Kesar. It is earthy yet luxurious.
I had been itching to share this flavour bomb with all of you for some time, and fortunately have been blessed to have a native Maharajji(cook) hailing from Chidawa Rajasthan to join our kitchen. He makes the famous Chirawa Peda exactly as I remember devouring it for over 40 years, the same taste of the roots, same soul touching flavours.
Chirawa Peda is one of the most famous mawa peda available in Rajasthan. If you love sweets you should eat this peda. It is made from mawa(khoya). It is made by evaporating water from milk by heating it, Hence mawa is pure product made from milk with no artificial substances added in it.
Peda is a delicious Indian sweet made with full fat milk and sugar. This fudge like sweet is delicately flavored with real Kesar.
Full Fat Milk, raw organic sugar, water, kesar, black cardamom, green cardamom, desi ghee.
Store in a cool dry place. This Peda tastes great when fresh and even when it dries a bit on the surface.
