Rhododendron squash, besides being a refreshing drink, is also believed to have great medicinal & herbal value! We have procured the freshest of the petals right from the local farmers of Bir, a small village in Himachal Pradesh, and whirled up this Rhododendron Squash.

It is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-diabetic properties make Buransh petals good for the heart, liver, and intestine. Regular consumption of rhododendron flower petals can cure digestive issues, respiratory ailments, and is a good remedy to headaches as well. It is rich in potassium, calcium, iron, and vitamin C, and also prevents excessive bleeding during female menstruation.

Description

The onset of spring is marked by blooming flowers native to every region, turning every corner into a happy and colourful place. In certain areas of the Himalayas, the blush of rhododendron flowers bid goodbye to the gloom of snowy winters, welcoming the season of joy.

 

Also known as Buransh in the native language, rhododendron flowers are a sign of hope for the locals. Its bloom states the end of the harsh mountain winters and the arrival of light and warmth. These super flowers of the mountains bloom only during February and March, in a temperate climate and alpine conditions. Rhododendrons are highly vulnerable to climate warming and some years it may not even last for two weeks.

The term rhododendron is derived from the Greek words, ‘Rhod’ meaning ‘rosy red’ and ‘dendron’ means ‘tree’. These elegant and vibrant bell-shaped flowers hold great significance to mountain life and their benefits clearly justify their importance. To bring you this mountain goodness with its distinctive flavour and colour, we made squash out of rhododendron flower petals. Buransh squash is a light herbal drink with a sweet and sour taste and is the most common welcome drink of the areas where the plant is found in abundance.

The petals of the Buransh plant are consumed in various forms by the local population of its origin for its varied health benefits. Directions:

Shake bottle well, pour 60ml concentrate in a glass, pour chilled water mix well, top it with ice and enjoy.
