A basic condiment that is found in each and every household around the world, yet it is almost taken for granted. One may not realize the importance of this condiment unless one runs out of it. Yes, I am talking about our very humble Ketchup. I believe it is eaten on an almost daily basis and sometimes even in more than one meal. Still, we tend to ignore the ingredients of this condiment. Usually, ketchup is made from high fructose corn syrup, tomato concentrates, and not to forget flavor enhancers and preservatives.
Juicy, plump, and bright red tomatoes are handpicked, washed carefully, blanched in boiling water for some time, and then ground until smooth. It is then sieved to get rid of any big seeds. The sieved tomato puree is then slowly cooked on the lowest flame with jaggery, vinegar, water, salt, and red chili powder for hours until it reaches the desired consistency and is bottled carefully with love.

Serve it with fries, onion rings, pakoras, parathas, eggs, fried chicken, and basically everything possible.
